Meet Kay - the face behind Kalico K.

I trained as a textile artist and have been a lifelong maker with a deep connection to stitching that began at just 7 years old, encouraged by my dear Nana. I have a passion for textiles, especially vintage and pre-loved fabrics that carry their own unique stories. My work includes quilting, patchwork and embroidery, and I strive to make beautifully crafted stitched pieces that I sell online and at craft fairs.

I loves to share my skills and knowledge through my classes and workshops. Community has always been a special part of my life, even more so now, living and working on my narrow boat.

My illustrated talks not only encompass my love of textile history and cultural crafts, but also include my extensive work as a canine behaviourist for rescue and trauma dogs.
